Our Association

The International Drum Horse Association, Inc. is fully compliant and registered as a nonprofit corporation, with the State of Ohio, USA.

As with any association such as ours, we need to run within set guidelines. This Board consists of a group of likeminded Drum Horse enthusiasts who are in regular contact with each other (often on a daily basis) and who meet every month via Zoom to discuss and manage all aspects of this association.

The IDHA Board consists of the usual traditional roles found in most associations around the world, so we are all familiar with the intricacies of what the job entails. It’s run by a group of volunteers whose sole job is to keep the Association running smoothly, making sure we stay within the rules and remain fully transparent to the members we represent while promoting this breed.

The current Board comes from four different countries — Australia, America, Canada and New Zealand — and despite some hugely different time zones, has managed to find a happy medium for monthly board meetings. These involve agendas, reports from board members, submitting proposals and ideas before the meeting, and sharing board packages beforehand so everyone arrives prepared. Management around how we make and move motions for board business throughout the month means we can take advantage of opportunities as they arise.

The IDHA welcomes new members from anywhere in the world.
