Register a Part-Bred Drum Horse

The International Drum Horse Association’s Part-bred registry was started many years ago and we have been waiting for the perfect time to re-open it. We are so pleased to be able to offer a place to register those amazing part-bred Drum Horses.

The Part-bred Drum Horse can be a mix of any other horse and be at least 25% Drum (minimum of ¼ Drum) It also must be able to be DNA verified to its Drum Horse parent – the registration process includes DNA identification and DNA matching to the Drum Parent.

When crossed with lighter breeds the Part Bred Drum Horses are making their mark as brilliant Sport horses, reliable competitive partners and stunning all round athletes in many disciplines. They make excellent saddle horses. The Part bred Drum Horses are fast becoming firm favorites across many levels of competition from absolute beginners to professional levels.

Crossed with other Heavy Breeds the Part-bred Drum Horses are becoming more and more desired as a levelheaded heavy riding horses, steady wagon horse and fabulous harness horse, with their amazing brains, and beautiful nature they can turn their hoof to almost anything they are put to – this registry now gives those horses somewhere to belong.

Their versatility is second to none and when you add in their very strong work ethic and their stunning good looks the Part-Bred Drum horses turns heads and stands out from the crowds wherever they go.
